Recommended for sheltering eyes during sleep and air travel. Onyix (pronounced ON-ix) is an extremely soft, flexible, foamless shield made from silicone.

It gently shelters eyes from draughts and low humidity environments while also fogging up, creating a moisture rich environment while you sleep or rest. That makes it perfect for dry eye sufferers.

    Works well but not very robust

    Very lightweight and comfortable. While sleeping I don’t notice it and the eye shields are great at blocking out light and creating a chamber that stops eyes drying through evaporation.

    So why 2 stars? Well it’s quite pricy and I’m already on my second one for the first one snapping within months. There is a very obvious weak spot where the eye shields join the nose bridge between them. If you are very careful and it holds out, the benefits are good.

    Hello Mark
    Thank you for leaving a very helpful review, it's great to read they are working so well.
    As you say, by being lightweight and comfortable the compromise is robustness.
    If not already, when putting them on, it may be worth gently holding the eyecups to the eyes with one hand and passing the strap over to the back of the head to reduce pressure on the weak spot.

    After 4 years of very little sleep thanks to Thyroid Eye Disease I have to say that the Onyix Sleep Shields have helped no end - I can sleep at last without waking up every couple of hours with very dry,gritty eyes... I would recommend them to anyone with T.E.D....
