EvoTears are a water-free, preservative-free eye drops which act to stabilise the tear film lipid layer, relieving symptoms associated with evaporative dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).

Evaporative dry eyes are caused by an unstable or deficient lipid layer of the tear film (the top outer most layer) that affects almost 90% of dry eye patients. Despite this, only a small proportion of products address lipid layer issues.

EvoTears offer the unique lipid layer replacement benefits of perfluorohexyloctane.

This allows EvoTears to replace the function of the lipid layer, forming an outer shield over the surface of the tear film, reducing evaporation of the watery layer.

    I have tried dozens of OTC eye drops and approximately 10-12 different prescription eye drops since I was diagnosed with Ocular Rosacea/Meibomian Gland Dysfunction. None were able to provide me with complete relief from feeling that I had sandpaper or ground glass in my eyes, until my optical specialist recommended that I include EvoTears in my treatment plan, which is currently Restasis BID. The EvoTears are to be used as needed, and they quickly provided me with the lubrication and relief my eyes needed. An odd thing to note is that one cannot feel the drop when it falls into the eye, so it can be difficult to know if the drop was actually applied to the eyeball. I live in Canada, so with the exchange on the money, the high shipping cost and having to pay duties, I find this tiny 3ml bottle rather pricey. But, it has proven to be a worthy investment and I would recommend it.

    Follow instructions to dispense effectively.

    Evotears are effective but you must follow instructions regarding their dispensing.

    Fantastic for mgd

    The only eye drops I can find that make my eyes comfortable. Others stop working in minutes. These I use maybe 3-4 times a day. I’m d be lost without them. But they’re so expensive.

    I note that you are using them 3-4 times day.

    Regarding the cost, we do offer 10% discount on a purchase of 4 or more but I appreciate this is a significant outlay.

    You may be interested to know that omega dry eye capsules and dry eye glasses can reduce the frequency of eye drop use.
