Opticrom 10ml Hayfever eye drops
Anti-allergy drops with sodium cromoglycate to reduce the histamine levels in itchy and irritated hayfever eyes. Suitable for adults and children from 6 years up.
Opticrom Hayfever eye drops quickly relieve the symptoms of hayfever and can soothe sore, irritated, watery and itchy eyes in as little as two minutes. They contain sodium cromoglycate which helps to stabilise the histamine cells which trigger the allergic reaction.
Allergies like hayfever occur when your body's natural defences overreact to a normally harmless substance such as pollen and cause irritation - often watery, itchy or puffy eyes. Common allergens (substances which cause an allergy) include tree, flower and grass pollens, but also mould and fungal spores, dust mites and flakes of animal skin, hair and feathers.
When pollen interacts with the cells in your eyes it causes a chemical reaction and histamine is released triggering the symptoms of an allergy: sore, itchy, watery or puffy eyes and often sneezing and a runny or blocked nose and sinuses. Opticrom Hayfever eye drops act to prevent this reaction.
Suitable for adults and children from 6 years up.
Opticrom Hayfever eye drops should not be used continuously for more than 14 days without seeking medical advice.
Usage: Put one drop into both eyes four times a day. Some mild transient stinging may occur when the drops are first used.
